MIHS boys soccer first/second state rounds

May 11th, 2012 at Fri, 11th, 2012 at 4:48 pm by Megan Managan

UPDATE: The boys soccer state bracket was updated over the weekend. The Islanders will face Prairie in the first round on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.

The winner of Tuesday’s game will face the winner of the Mount Vernon vs. Captial game on Wednesday.

The Mercer Island boys soccer team will play the first two rounds of the state tournament at home.

The first game will be played on Tuesday, May 15 at 7 p.m. at MIHS Stadium against the No. 5 team from District 3/4.

Originally the second round was schedule to be played on Saturday, May 19, but with Mercer Island’s prom scheduled for that evening, the WIAA agreed the second round could be moved to Friday, May 18.

Friday’s game will be played at 8 p.m. at MIHS against either No. 2 from District 1 or No. 2 from District 3/4. Friday’s game is scheduled for later because of a boys lacrosse quarterfinal state game scheduled for 6 p.m. that night.

Because this is a state event, season passes are no longer being accepted. Tickets are $8 for adults and high school students without a valid ASB card, or $6 for youth grades K-8, students and seniors over 62. Preschools are free.

The boys 3A state bracket can be found at the WIAA website. It has not yet been updated with specific team, location or time information.
