Mercer Island No. 16 in pre-season wrestling rankings

November 26th, 2012 at Mon, 26th, 2012 at 1:19 pm by Megan Managan

Fittingly just in time for the Reporter’s winter sports previews this week, the Washington Wrestling Report released it’s pre-season rankings on Nov. 24.

As a team in the 3A classification, Mercer Island is ranked No. 16 with returning state champions Enumclaw ranked No. 1.

Everett, which Mercer Island will compete against on Dec. 4 is ranked at No. 15, just one spot ahead of the Islanders.

To see the full rankings, visit the Washington Wrestling Report website.

The winter sports previews will be out on Wednesday, in both print and online.

I’m the sports reporter at the Mercer Island Reporter newspaper. On this blog you’ll find extra bits and pieces to stories I’ve written, behind the scene looks at teams and observations on the sports in our area. I’ll field questions here, and ask a few too.
